This is a short, quick read by author and blogger, Mark Manson. It sprays F-bombs like a fire hose. You could call it ‘self-help’ or a kick in the ass. Regardless, it’s mildly entertaining if you like colorful, blunt language and need a reminder to get a move on what you really want to do.

Julie and Julia, My Year of Cooking Dangerously is an entertaining, sometimes painful, story of woman who’s feeling a bit unfulfilled and decides to pursue her ‘stupid idea’. The book, a memoir, takes you through her journey including the highs and ugly lows that come along with it. And if you love to cook, you too just might get inspired to master the art of French cooking.

How to Get Sh*t Done: Why Women Need to Stop Doing Everything so They Can Achieve Anything

Erin Falconer, blogger and entrepreneur, wrote this book on, well, the title tells you everything. She runs through a series of questions and ultimately adviseson how to narrow your priorities and eliminate distractions, including some you may not have thought about before. Regardless of one’s gender, there are nuggets here for anyone with at least mild ambition.
